Why we don't say AI.
We use the tools. We're not shy about that, technology-forward is one of the four things this studio is actually built on. What we don't do is lead with it, and here's the actual reason.
Say "AI" first in a creative pitch right now and here's what a client actually hears, whether you meant it or not: fast, cheap, probably generic, possibly not even looked at by a real person before it landed in their inbox. That association isn't fair to the tool. It's fair to how the tool has been used, loudly, by people trying to sell speed as if speed were the same thing as quality. The market's full of that right now, which is a big part of what the last post on this blog was actually about.
Premium and cultural clients aren't buying a process. They're buying judgment, taste, and the confidence that someone looked at their specific problem and made a specific decision about it. Leading a pitch with "AI-powered" tells them the opposite of that, even when it isn't true.
So here's the actual policy, stated plainly: we use the tools available to us, and we use them with intention, never as a shortcut past the thinking. Where that shows up as a named offer, in AI Studio & Systems, we call it exactly what it is, because pretending otherwise there would be its own kind of dishonesty. Everywhere else, the technology stays in the background, doing real work, never doing the talking.
The judgment stays in the room the entire time either way. That's the part that was never up for automation, and it's the part we'd rather a client actually notice.
